I teach students of all ages in the comfort of my private home. Their level of playing ranges from beginner to advanced. Some of them are already performing sucessfully in the New York metropolitan area. My lessons are very structured and designed to give the student a strong and broad foundation that enables them to comfortably perform in all the basic styles that a drummer might face in todays challenging world of music. The student will learn how to read and write charts and creatively play authentic grooves in many of todays styles. Playing styles include West African rhythms, New Orleans second-line, Afro-Cuban, Funk, Jazz, Pop, R & B and Gospel.

I graduated from Rutgers University N.J. with a bachelor degree in jazz performance and have graced the New York music scene as a session drummer for many years now. I have recorded and performed with various artists and jazz greats such as David Sanchez, Gerald Wilson, Arthur Blythe, Tommy Turentine, Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame inductee Shirley Alston-Reeves (The Shirelles), Doo-wop legends The Marcels as well as The Platters and Little Eva just to name a few.
